About Mr Gary Kode MBCHB FRCS (SA) FRACS Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

Mr Gary Kode is a highly trained Specialist Plastic Surgeon specialising in Cosmetic, General and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery. He is a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), Australian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS), The International Confederation for Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (IPRAS), The International Society of Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) and  a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (FRACS). Mr Kode is appointed a Rotary International Surgeon (ROMAC).

Mr Kode has been practicing Plastic Surgery for 25 years and has performed over 15 000 surgical procedures in Cosmetic, General and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, involving every area of the body including face, neck, body, arm, hand and leg surgery for adults and children.

Mr Kode qualified as a Specialist Plastic Surgeon in 1991 in South Africa and worked together with some of the world’s leading Plastic Surgeons including Dr Des Fernandes. He worked in 12 different hospitals in 3 countries spending time within leading Plastic Surgery units, understanding advanced Plastic Surgery techniques developed and used by the best Plastic Surgeons in the industry worldwide.

Mr Kode has published articles and is regularly asked to present talks at Plastic Surgery Meetings. He is actively involved in mentoring future Plastic Surgeons in the art and science of both Aesthetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery. Mr Kode regularly attends national and international Plastic Surgery meetings in order to stay up to date on the latest advances in Plastic Surgery techniques, procedures and technologies.

In 1999 Mr Kode opened his practice in Launceston, Tasmania specialising in Aesthetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery and non-surgical Aesthetic enhancement. He was appointed a Council member of the Tasmanian Medical Council from 2003 to 2008.

In 2012, Mr Kode was appointed a Council Member of the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS).
