The eyes are one of the first features people notice about you. They’re also one of the first areas to show signs of ageing, because the surrounding skin is so thin, making the eyes more prone to wrinkles, creases, bags and loose, sagging skin.
Mr Kode recommends Blepharoplasty, or Eyelid Surgery, to improve the appearance of the upper and/or lower eyelids by lifting sagging skin and removing puffy fat deposits, giving you a younger, more rested appearance. However Blepharoplasty won’t remove crow’s feet or dark circles under the eyes.
The procedure can be combined with a Brow Lift or Facelift, to give an overall rejuvenated appearance. The surgery is a fairly simple procedure and you should be up and about straight afterwards, but rest is recommended for the first week. You can wear makeup shortly after surgery to camouflage any bruising, and in most cases, return to work after seven to 10 days. You may experience some post-surgery swelling, bruising, weepy or dry eyes that can be managed with medication, cold compresses and ointment. Early results are noticed after several weeks with thin incisions concealed within your eyelids’ natural folds. The final results take several months to see.
Diligent sun protection and wearing dark sunglasses will aid the healing process.
Eyelid Surgery can also be combined with a Brow Lift or Face Lift, as well as Laser Resurfacing, Medical-grade Peels, Wrinkle Relaxer Injections, Wrinkle Filler Injections (Dermal Fillers), to improve lines in the lid area.
Many men turn to Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty) to help rejuvenate their face. Eyelid Surgery can provide a well-rested refreshed appearance.
