Facelift Surgery, or Rhytidectomy, helps restore a more refreshed, younger appearance to the face by reducing visible signs of ageing such as sagging jowls and cheeks, deep crow’s feet, deep creases from the nose to mouth, loose skin and excess fat under the chin and jaw.
Mr Kode’s approach to Facelift Surgery offers a more natural, less stretched look than years gone by and scars are hardly visible, if at all, as incisions are commonly made in the hairline and behind the ear.
Most Facelifts are performed under general anaesthesia, however in some cases, you can opt for twilight sedation. Following on surgery, any bruising and swelling should reduce in two to three weeks, with residual swelling subsiding in several months.
Most people can return to work after around two to three weeks. Scars should subside in around six months. You will look better at a year than at three months.Typically, you will notice final results in around three to six months and these should last many years. Ongoing self-care is key to maintaining your results, including daily protection against photo-ageing from sun damage and a healthy diet and lifestyle.
A comprehensive consultation is the crucial first step in your facelift procedure. Mr Kode will ask you about your expectations, your health and lifestyle, and discuss surgical options, associated risks and likely outcomes. He will also discuss the various Facelift options including Mini Facelift, SMAS Facelift and Full Facelift surgery
Face Lift Surgery can also be combined with a Neck Lift, Brow Lift or Eyelid Surgery, as well as Chin Reshaping, Laser Resurfacing, Microdermabrasion, Medical-grade Peels, Wrinkle Relaxer Injections, Lip Enhancement Treatments, and Wrinkle Filler Injections (Dermal Fillers).
