Facial Rejuvenation with Dermal Injectables: Anti-Wrinkle Injections and Dermal Fillers

Years of sun exposure and repetitive facial expression can result in wrinkles on your face, making you look older than you feel. Facial rejuvenation with Dermal Injectables including Anti-wrinkle Injections and Dermal Filler Injections help restore loss of volume and create a refreshed look.

Anti-Wrinkle Injections can relax the muscles that cause these wrinkles, helping reduce them and restoring your relaxed, refreshed, natural-looking appearance. Dermal Fillers can also be used to fill out deep permanent wrinkles and areas of where your face has lost volume.

Dr Kode and the team at  Launceston Plastic Surgery Unit team have decades of experience in enhancing facial volume with careful crafting of Dermal Fillers which are used in various forms to plump up or relax wrinkles.

Anti-wrinkle Injections are used to target frown lines between the eyebrows, forehead creases and crow’s feet. They can also treat a gummy smile, smoker’s lines around the lips, and areas prone to excessive sweat. An anti-wrinkle treatment takes around 30 minutes and usually only requires applying ice or topical anaesthetic cream to numb the area being treated. You may experience some redness following treatment, and within a few days, you will notice your more relaxed appearance. Results last for up to 4 months.

For deeper creases and wrinkles, anti-wrinkle injections may be combined with injectable Dermal Fillers. Dermal Fillers are a range of substances that, when injected beneath the skin, help plump out areas of lost volume and smooth deep lines and folds. They are used to fill out sunken cheeks and under-eye areas, nasio-labial folds (that extend from nose to mouth) or marionette lines (from mouth to chin). Dermal Fillers are also effective in bringing fullness to thin lips.

Treatment time depends on how many areas are being treated, but it generally takes 30-45 minutes, with a topical numbing cream or local anaesthetic should you need it. You may notice bruising or swelling after the treatment, but this should subside in about a week, when the final results will be apparent. Depending on the type of Dermal Filler used, results can be permanent, or temporary, lasting around 6 to 12 months.
