Hair loss in males is one of the most common signs of ageing. It can be genetic, where a family history of baldness is evident; it may be due to a change in hormonal balance or be caused by severe trauma.

Mr Kode has years of experience in Hair Restoration Surgery, helping to transform the lives of his patients. With hair loss, we often see a loss of confidence and self esteem which affects all aspects of one’s life.

Usually Mr Kode uses a combination of Platelet Rich Plasma Injections (PRP), Topical retinoids and hair follicle micro-grafts for hair restoration.

Generally speaking, Hair Restoration candidates must have healthy hair growth at the sides and back of the head which can be used to harvest hair follicles for the micro-grafts. Mr Kode is an expert at assessing the various types of hair ie texture, curl and colour and understanding what the expected outcome would be.

Micro-grafting involves taking a pieces of hair from the thick growth, cutting into 1, 2 or max 3 follicle pieces for micro surgery and then you insert each one of those grafts into the skull.

Prepare the skin with topical  retinoids and combine with medical grade skin needling to help assist penetration of retinoids which stimulate hair growth.

Combine with PRP, which is derived from the patient’s own blood, releases healing proteins called growth factors. When these growth factors in re-injected into the area of baldness, studies have suggested that hair loss may be reduced, halted or even reversed, as the growth factors help the body to regenerate their own cells.

As an adjunct to these methods, Mr Kode uses the application of topical retinoids to help stimulate the hair growth.
